  Bonnie Longley, ATC/L, CSCS, EMT, Certified Athletic Trainer       
  Bonnie is a certified Athletic Trainer and the designer and originator of the clinic’s ever popular, One on One Full Body Stretching Program. As the director of Preneta Physical Therapy’s Athletic Training Program, Bonnie has personally managed and covered the Brien McMahon High School Athletic Training contract for the past 8 years. Bonnie maintains direct contact with Physicians and works quickly and closely with the athlete and their parents to coordinate Physician care following an injury.

Bonnie has her CSCS, and in addition to her stretching program and Athletic Training work, Bonnie focuses on her in-clinic patient strength and conditioning, and training and wellness work. She likes to say, “The best gift for me, is to see my clients happy, making improvements, and getting well.”

Bonnie lives in East Haven, CT and likes to stay active with walking her dog, biking, and hanging with friends and family.

Gina is the athletic trainer for Fairfield College Preparatory School. A 2008 Sacred Heart graduate, Gina received her degree in Athletic Training and Exercise Science and is certified and licensed with the state of Connecticut.

While attending Sacred Heart, Gina was the Athletic Trainer for Men’s Football, Men’s Lacrosse and Women’s Softball. She has also worked at Wilton High School assisting the Athletic Trainer with boy’s and girl’s fall sports.

An athlete herself, Gina played softball and basketball for her North Branford High School Thunderbirds. Gina loves to travel, see new movies and spend time with her friends.

  Jason Rancourt, BS, Exercise Physiologist       
 

Jason graduated from Sacred Heart University with a BS in Exercise Physiology and has expertise in muscle strength and conditioning. Prior to college, Jason was a high school athlete, and played Varsity Football - offensive tackle - all four years for Waltham High School in Waltham, Massachusetts.
 
Jason is the new Strength and Conditioning Coach at Fairfield College Preparatory School and works with Fairfield Prep, designing and implementing strength training and conditioning programs for students, athletes, and teams. Jason will be working in the Fairfield Prep weight room on a daily basis.

In his role as Exercise Physiologist at Preneta Physical Therapy, Jason is responsible for working with the physical therapists and patients for patient in-clinic exercise. Working in tandem with each physical therapist, Jason designs and instructs specific stretching and strengthening exercises for the patient’s weakened or injured area.

In addition to maintaining the clinic’s exercise area, he assists in keeping the clinic orderly and properly equipped for patient care. He works closely with the physical therapists and patients to coordinate equipment settings and proper exercise aides.

Jason lives in Bridgeport, CT and enjoys playing sports, playing the guitar and spending time with friends and family.

  Joanna Malicka, W.I.T.S., Exercise Specialist       
  Joanna has been an exercise specialist, working closely with Rich Preneta, PT, at the 2119 Post Road physical therapy clinic for 3 years. As one of the first faces to greet patients in the clinic, Joanna is responsible for keeping the physical therapy clinic, hydrotherapy area, and treatment rooms orderly and stocked for efficient patient care. With her focus on patient care, Joanna assists the physical therapists so that each patient can move comfortably through their physical therapy treatment program. Joanna instructs and encourages patients with their in-clinic exercises and assists in equipment set-up.  

On a regular basis, she makes sure that the patients have their customized home exercise plans for out of clinic continuation of program. Joanna has recently received her certification as a personal trainer through W.I.T.S., where she learned about anatomy, exercise physiology, nutrition, muscle & skeletal injuries, and health screening as they relate to personal training.

Joanna lives in Norwalk with her son, and enjoys spending time with her son.

  Christina Cruz, Continuation of Care Specialist       
  As Continuation of Care Specialist, Christina is responsible for all patient medical insurance needs, including pre- authorization, understanding and communicating insurance benefits, confirming physician prescriptions, maintaining patient medical records and assisting with physician requests and information. Christina is also responsible for maintaining the physical therapist’s schedules. Christina works closely with the physical therapists to ensure that each patient is scheduled according to their physical therapy treatment need.

Christina likes to say, “her primary focus is making certain that the patients have what they need so that each patient can focus solely on their physical therapy treatment.”

Christina lives in Bridgeport with her young son, DJ, and her outside interests walks on the beach and spending time with her son.

  Lauren Mealey, Patient Coordinator       
 

Lauren is one of the first points of patient contact at Preneta Physical Therapy. As a patient coordinator, Lauren is responsible for collecting patient health insurance information and completing insurance verification. She works directly with our patients communicating their insurance benefits and keeps track of prescription updates.

Preneta Physical Therapy’s on site IT ‘expert’, Lauren is also responsible for general office procedures. She likes to say, “that her number one priority is to make sure that all the patients are satisfied and comfortable with the service they receive at Preneta Physical Therapy.”

Lauren lives is Milford, CT and enjoys reading, going to the movies, and outings with her friends and family.

  Dena Esposito, Patient Coordinator       
 

Dena is one of the first points of patient contact at Preneta Physical Therapy. As a patient coordinator, Dena is responsible for scheduling appointments, collecting patient health insurance information and completing insurance verification.

Working for Preneta Physical Therapy part time, Dena is currently working on her BS in English and Education and secondary education with writing option. Dena enjoys going to the gym and spending time with family and friends. She currently resides in Bridgeport.

  Matthew Laudicina, Physical Therapy Aide       
  Matthew is the newest addition to the aides on the Preneta Physical Therapy team. Working closely with the physical therapists, Matt assists with patient flow through the clinic. He works to keep the clinic stocked and orderly and makes sure that the physical therapists have the treatment equipment they need in the right place at the right time.

Matt has recently completed a BS in biology at Sacred Heart University and plans to continue his education there to become a high school science teacher. An eagle scout, Matt still loves to camp and go backpacking; he is the Sacred Heart University Men's and Women's Assistant Fencing Coach and enjoys XBOX 360 in his free time. Matthew was born on Long Island, NY and currently resides in Bridgeport, CT.

  Jessica Lombardo, ATC, Physical Therapy Aide      
  Jessica graduated from Sacred Heart University with a BS in Athletic Training. She is continuing her education at Sacred Heart, working toward a DPT in Physical Therapy. Working closely with the Preneta Physical Therapists, Jessica assists with patient flow through the clinic. In her role, she works to keep the clinic stocked and orderly and makes sure that the physical therapists have the treatment equipment they need in the right place at the right time.

An avid Yankees fan, Jessica loves baseball games and travels to New York to see her team play whenever she can. She enjoys movies and hanging out with friends and likes to bake. Jessica grew up in Wilton, CT and currently resides in Bridgeport, CT.
